Enjoy a simulated scenic flight in a vintage tiger moth, high above the beautiful Hawke’s Bay vineyards.

Take off on the wine tasting adventure, a virtual wine tour of the region, its wines, winemakers and wineries. The New Zealand Wine Centre has two exclusive, purpose built auditoriums– one for white wine and another for red wine. Both theatres are air-conditioned and can each seat up to 50 people. Equipped with Bose V30 theatre systems and 4m by 3m screens, these state of the art facilities are awaiting your arrival!


During your Wine Tasting Adventure you will:
  • Visit the aroma awareness room and discover 54 aromas associated with red or white wines, leaving with your senses awakened, ready for your wine tasting.
  • Enter the white wine or red wine auditorium.
  • Watch a 20min film during which you will travel virtually over Hawke's Bay and flight out to six premium boutique wineries.
  • While you enjoy and taste your wines, the winemakers or vineyard owners profile the wine for you on the big screen, giving you insight into the profile, aromas and flavours of their particular wine.
  • Receive tasting notes to take home with you.
