The 2010 Riesling release is again from an ideal block in Bendigo, Central Otago. An elevated slope with excellent sun exposure and soils of high schist content results in lively fruit with gentle ripe acidity. The grapes are hand picked; whole bunch pressed, settled for 48hrs and then fermented at cool temperatures to retain the fresh fruit characteristics.
The colour is bright luminescent lemon and it offers a off-dry style.
The nose abounds with citrus and floral aromatics. It has a full palate, with concentrated citrus and lemongrass flavours weaving their way around a strongly directional mineral cut. This wine has a lovely balance of fruit and acidity finishing fresh and cleansing.
